TRASH ANIMALS, free online workshop, HOLD for Mission Belonging
Wed Apr 22 ⋅ 7–8pm EST, link forthcoming
In this workshop we use the contents of your trash to make sculpture. Materials like junk mail, food containers, packaging of any sort become the building blocks of an animal of your choosing. We will use a variety of building methods that emphasize speed: tape, hot glue, string. Bring images of animals, some art supplies, and your trash!
TRASH ART, online workshop, through the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA
Trash Art: a Multimedia Exploration, Sundays on May 3, 10th, 17th and 24th at 5-7pm EST
Trash Art is a hands-on studio course that challenges students to reimagine found materials and discarded objects as rich sources of creative potential. Through sculpture, assemblage, collage, and installation, we’ll explore how trash can be transformed into visually compelling, conceptually layered artworks.
Critique and conversation will center on growth, not results, creating a supportive space to take risks and explore new directions. Ideal for artists looking to reinvigorate their practice, embrace experimentation, and discover unexpected connections across media. We’ll emphasize play, process, and personal exploration—encouraging each student to push boundaries and develop their own unique creative voice.
