Charm Quilt
mixed-media on paper, double-sided
68 x 88"

'Charm quilts’ are made of repeating shapes in which no two fabric patches are the same. The fabrics are often culled from worn out clothing, and may include swatches from friends and family.

I created my paper charm quilt with a similar process of recycling and repurposing, but from my old drawings, prints and paintings. Inspired by the charm quilt my great-great grandmother made, I used the same dimensions and hexagonal repeating shape.
